Pilgrimage to Trsat

The Shrine Of The Blessed Virgin Mary In Trsat is the biggest pilgrimage shrine in western Croatia and it is only 45 km away from the city of Krk and the peaceful city is an ideal spot from which to visit the shrine. Every year thousands of pilgrims come to Trsat to pray to the Blessed Virgin Mary and find comfort and hope.

After a visit to Trsat, you can visit and pray inside the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary back in Krk. Inside the cathedral, on one of its column, you can see rare Eucharistic symbols – two birds eating a fish. The cathedral is located close to the church of St. Quirinus, a patron of the city Krk. The church has a valuable sacral collection and we definitely recommend you visit and learn more about the sacral heritage of Krk.
